The industrial development plan for the Bowang High tech Zone (2013-2020) has been officially introduced. According to the plan, by 2020, Bowang High tech Zone will strive to become a first-class high-tech industry development zone in the province, with the main business income of the park exceeding 100 billion yuan.

As the main industrial development carrier of Bowang District, after years of rolling development, Bowang High tech Zone has initially formed leading industries such as blade molds, shearing machine tools, engineering machinery accessories, metallurgical rolling, high-quality forging, building materials, etc. The industrial cluster has taken shape, and products are sold to more than 50 countries and regions across the country and the world. In 2012, the Bowang High tech Zone achieved a total industrial output value of 7.9 billion yuan.

According to the plan, in the future, the Bowang High tech Zone will focus on expanding and strengthening the machine tool and mold industry with forging machine tools as the main body, and take this as the core to actively expand new materials and electronic information, and then expand engineering machinery, energy conservation and environmental protection industries, creating a cluster of mechanical equipment and electronic information industries; At the same time, we will vigorously expand modern service industries such as technology services, modern logistics, and business and commerce, provide service industry support for the development of the manufacturing industry in the high-tech zone and surrounding areas, jointly build a "1+4+3" key industry system, and promote the expansion and strength enhancement of the high-tech zone's industries.

The planned area of Bowang High tech Zone is about 21 square kilometers, and the overall spatial development pattern is "one body, two wings, and three zones". The "One Body" refers to the "Central Area", which is a key area for the future development of Bowang High tech Zone. It will be built into a core area of the zone that integrates comprehensive industrial functions such as energy conservation and environmental protection, new materials, electronic information, commerce and trade, and scientific and technological services. The "Two Wings" refer to the "Eastern Area" and "Western Area". Among them, the "Jiubo Technology Innovation Demonstration Base" in the Eastern Wing will be built into a national research and development and innovation center for shearing machine tools and blade molds, as well as an important equipment manufacturing industry base in Ma'anshan City; The "Special Steel Forging Industrial Park" in the west wing will be built into an important production base for high-quality steel and iron-based new materials in Ma'anshan City. In terms of spatial development timing, 2013-2015 is a key promotion period, which will accelerate the improvement of transportation, water and electricity, communication and other supporting infrastructure construction in the high-tech zone, and strengthen transportation connections with surrounding areas such as the Ma'anshan main urban area, Nanjing Lukou Airport, and Nanjing main urban area.

The period from 2016 to 2020 is a comprehensive improvement period, mainly focusing on upgrading the industrial level and accelerating the gathering of high-end innovation and entrepreneurship talents.
